Yay, it's Esme!!!
My very sweet and brave sister in law agreed to sit for the final of my ten Open House portraits. Yesterday my darling baby niece became the toast of the town (OK, lounge room) when she pointed to this portrait and said "MAMA!" It's the greatest compliment I have ever received for my work.

Ohhh, that's the ultimate compliment! What a beautiful portrait Sandra, you clever, clever lady! Love the name Esme too (it was on our girl's name list, but our house is now full of boys, even the cat is a bloke).
Can't WAIT to see all these ladies in the flesh/in the canvas. Love your work-in-progress post, especially the 'before' of that gorgeous red helmet hair.
Hi Sass! I like the helmet hair too, I half can't believe that I managed to improve on it....
THank you so much for your lovely lovely comment.
I hope that one day you get a lady cat, and call her Esme.
Yippee! I feel honoured to be in such sassy company - and to be painted by someone so talented (and nice). x
Nice??!! I doubt it!! Ha ha. Thanks Esme, you are a very brave woman to succumb to my brush and let the public know all about the results! You are the nice one. :-)
