I love it. And I love your blog - lovely and curious things. And Sandra leads to Anna and Anna leads to Lena... a good night's blogging! Chris x (as in Kate)
Hi Chris! I am very pleased that you found/like my blog (and Anna's!). Thanks for saying hi -- it's been AGES -- a few years in fact. Hope you and your lovely family are all going well. x
He has the look of a cad about him...if only all those perpetual first date men wore their 'heart' on their 'sleeve' like that... lovely to see that jumper that first introduced me to your work...like your subtle use of the flower to soften the statement , I'm imagining you could have a whole other list of characters wearing that jumper. lovely work,
Hi Elaine, always lovely to hear from you. I did think of you when I was doing this little picture -- thinking that seeing as my piece of knitting has such vocal fans I should do something else with it! It was very hard to work out what expression he should have, interesting that he looks like a cad. Thanks, as always!
This blog is both a record of my work and an attempt to contribute to the vast inspiration that thousands of other creative people have given me via the internet.
I worked for many years in the fashion industry, designing prints, textiles and developing products for children. I now work as a freelance illustrator and make a variety of work under my own name. Some of the things that I make can be found in my etsy shop and in galleries and stores around Australia.
