Frankie magazine cover.

Sock design -- tick.  Editorial illustration -- tick.  CD cover art -- tick.    I can't cross this off my bucket list though, because the idea that I would ever have an illustration on the front cover of a magazine was too incredible.  But -- ta da! -- here she is.  I can hardly believe it.  (I plan on roaming newsagents around the country for the next two months, just to make sure that I am not dreaming.)

I am hugely grateful to Sophie Kalagas and the team at Frankie, but especially to Lucy Feagins from The Design Files, who commissioned this little lady in the first place (for Open House 2013).

Hello Cristy,

Lovely to hear from you. She has been my favourite of the ten portraits for a while now too, so I think you chose well! I hope she has stuck fast to the wall....... I can't help but think of that near disaster. I am SO SORRY. I hope you love her despite that. Thank you so much for your support.

Congrats on your front cover illustration! I love it!... and not only because it looks EXACTLY like me. I've had so many people come up to me to tell me I'm on the cover, so thanks for painting me ;)

Thank you so much Jo! Really good to hear from you. See you in the spring..... xx

Jill!!!!!! You are most welcome. Now of course I need to see exactly what you look like. You are not the first person to have written that to me -- there must be a few doppelgangers out there! I'll let you know if I ever need a model........ and I'm not joking!
