I have been busy making some little plywood beings for my etsy shop. Above, a handsome house snail with aqua windows and a tiny door. An erupting volcano in cross section, wearing wellington boots (which aren't going to help much). A pair of mushrooms with eyes. (Red one here, tall one there.) And a new dancing lady with a very pretty Australian Wonga Wonga Pigeon for a skirt (from this beautiful bird book ). The shop has never been so full of wooden things! I think they're very happy to be out in the world.
This blog is both a record of my work and an attempt to contribute to the vast inspiration that thousands of other creative people have given me via the internet.
I worked for many years in the fashion industry, designing prints, textiles and developing products for children. I now work as a freelance illustrator and make a variety of work under my own name. Some of the things that I make can be found in my etsy shop and in galleries and stores around Australia.

Hello Jo! Thank you! He must be a bit of a favourite, as he has already gone to a fine new home. :)
Esa es la vida que yo quiero... una tranquila y lenta vida hogareña... Si ya se fue el caracol, seguramente es un deseo de varios!
