Mikey in progress, etc.

Mikey Relaxing, one of the bigger pieces I am making for the Craft Victoria window, in progress, above.  I found embroidering the hand rather enjoyable, in a giggly-twelve-year-old kind of way.

Above: a cushion that I made some time ago, relaxing as well.

Above: a small detail from an illustration that I completed last week.  I couldn't resist showing you this little fellow, even though I think I smudged him a little on the scanner.  Oops.

We watched a shrill-voiced German tourist rescue a stranded puffer fish from a rock pool in Apollo Bay last year, by scooping it up in a clear plastic ziplock bag. I think he thought it was a nice little fishie. When it did the puff-up prickly thing within its plastic bag prison the tourist absolutely freaked out, screaming; as did the poor puffer fish, whose face looked just like your little guy. But I digress… can’t WAIT to see your window, and the bedroom scene and Mikey. Your quilt looks just amazing Sandra. Huge congrats!

I love that story Mrs Sass, and hope that the puffer fish burst his way out of the plastic bag and jumped back in the water. I didn't even realise that we had puffer fish here!!
Thank you so much -- so lovely to hear from you. xx
